Agile Coach/Scrum Master

Job Description:

As an Agile Coach, you will lead the organizational transformation from waterfall to Agile. You will be accountable to train and coach internal delivery teams on Agile methodology and lead the development and implementation of Agile at scale to ensure effective outcomes at the project and organizational level. This role will be a player/coach and jump in, on occasion, to lead project delivery.

Plative is a fast-paced, nimble environment, so you will be involved from project inception to completion and be the facilitator of change.

Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile. This includes every stage of adoption, from the introduction of Agile and employee education, to fostering teams and cultures that practice Agile, to sustaining Agile methodologies and continually offering strategies for improvement.
• Implement Agile process, principles and practices across all levels and departments in the organization. Use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability and transparency.
• Educate employees at all levels, including senior leadership, and at times clients, on agile principles, suggesting and providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work.
• Provide training sessions and teach valuable skills that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.
• Guide teams into the Agile methodology, providing feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions.
• Lead project delivery as player/coach. Coach, manage and facilitate project delivery.

Core skills:

• Assertive about adherence to Agile processes and enthusiastic about Agile practices and their benefits.
• Be both an educator and a coach. Possess great interpersonal skills, teaching abilities, and a capacity to inspire and motivate.
• Demonstrating strong knowledge of and background with Agile concepts
• Possessing prior experience coaching teams in Agile adoption or as a Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer

Advanced skills:

• Change management capabilities.
• This position has minimal travel and occasional presence at clients’ sites

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a team member on an Agile team
• Minimum 2-4 years hands-on experience serving as a Scrum of Scrum/Release Train Engineer
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Agile Coaching role helping teams efficiently deliver customer value
• Familiarity with common Scaled Agile Frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale
• Hands-on experience leading and/or participating in Agile transformation efforts
• Technical project management experience, and/or engineering background.
• Excellent conflict resolution and facilitation skills
• Strong presentation and training skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Change management experience. Change management certification desirable.
• Project management/consultant experience.
• Delivered numerous complex projects.
