Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager you will report directly to the CRO and lead the Business Development team at Plative. In this role, you’ll work closely with Sales Directors to put together industry and platform-specific sales plays, as well as coach and guide our Business Development Representatives to execute them.

What you’ll do:

  • Player-Coach mentality, initially making calls and running sequences as an ISR yourself in order to maximize performance and train new ISR’s until you have a full team load.
  • Train, coach, motivate, and inspire a team of Inside Sales Representatives to continue their self improvement and maximize individual contribution over their career at Plative.
  • Take full ownership over our sales plays and outbound sequence strategy by collaborating with Sales Directors, dialing in new industry and platform specific sequences into Outreach, and training Inside Sales Reps on how to most effectively get meetings booked through those sequences.
  • Develop clear expectations for performance among your team and instill accountability for a remote-team of ISR’s.
  • Monitoring and upkeep of daily, weekly, and monthly performance indicators such as activities, call connects, meetings booked, and opportunities passed to sales (”Flips”).
  • Lead weekly team meetings and motivate a remote team of ISR’s to achieve the team’s targets.

Minimum requirements:

  • 2+ years of inside sales or business development experience as a high performing individual contributor.
  • 1+ year of high velocity sales (outbound) experience.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a remote-first work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can hold a meeting with directors and VPs and C level executives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of Salesforce user experience
  • 1+ year of Outreach.io user experience
  • 1+ year of Zoominfo experience
  • 6+ months in a team lead role
