Job Description:

Senior Data Consultant is expected to participate in complex and multidisciplinary data projects. You will be designing, implementing, and deploying data centered solutions to a wide variety of clients across industry verticals and products. Candidates for this role should possess knowledge of the Salesforce.com capabilities (both functional and technical) and integration capabilities. The Consultant has experience migrating & integrating data into the Salesforce platform and can act as a knowledgeable liaison with business stakeholders and project teams. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to uncover business requirements, develop a technical strategy and be able to create and effectively demonstrate solutions that address customer requirements. Plative is a fast-paced agile environment, and the Senior Data Consultant will be involved from inception to delivery. You will be the facilitator of change with the clients and enable organizations to address their data needs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead data management and migration aspects of projects
  • Develop, maintain, and review data processes and architecture for both on-premise and cloud-based data systems
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and research advanced data technologies and concepts, learning new skills and software as necessary
  • Facilitate the discovery of entities, attributes, relationships, and business rules and processes from the functional experts and the user community
  • Support the build of Data Warehouses, Data Marts and Operational Data Stores. 
  • Identify data needs, providing guidance on how to extract, transform and load data, and recommend approaches to integrate with master data and existing Salesforce data
  • Produce highly detailed document artifacts and maintain them for the duration of projects
  • Perform data profiling and analysis. Develop data lineage and source to target mapping
  • Perform and coordinate work across other team members, providing accountability for the success of the team. 
  • Provide input and feedback regarding ETL processes. 
  • Scope and provide sales leadership on data projects 
  • Configure and customize Salesforce.com and related third party applications (as needed)
  • This position has minimal travel and occasional presence to clients’ sites

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, plus five years of experience with Salesforce development or equivalent combination of education and experience  
  • 3+ years project experience in a hands-on technical leadership position   
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce in a development or configuration capacity, 
  • 2+ years of experience consulting for enterprise software applications with a focus on the data conversion process or similar industry experience 
  • Experience working in Large Data Volume environments 
  • Expertise in data extraction, transformation, and data loading techniques, and demonstrated  job experience with ETL software 
  • Experience creating and using Entity Relationship and Data Flow diagrams to communicate complex migration and transformations to clients 
  • Experience with database systems (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) and query languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.) 
  • Experience working with and automating data migrations into salesforce through tools such as dataloader, dataloader.io, workbench, SSIS, or similar
  • Experience with the complete software project lifecycle, recognizing the importance of data conversion and the time commitment involved 
  • Passion for data accuracy and completeness 
  • Can work in a fast-paced, fast-growth environment and manage priorities across multiple concurrent activities
