So, what do you do at Plative?
Currently, I am a Delivery Manager, but began my Plative career as a Salesforce Consultant in 2017. My main focus is guiding and developing my team of Consultants/Business Analysts and working with a number of clients/projects on a day-to-day basis.
Why did you choose to work for Plative?
I choose Plative because I was looking to change my career path and enter the world of Salesforce full-time. My last position was not 100% focused on Salesforce, as I wore many different hats/positions within the company. The more and more I worked with the platform, the more I knew that I wanted to make a change to the Salesforce ecosystem full-time. I truly enjoyed every second of it. But to get back to the question at hand, I choose Plative because I wanted to work for a newer/smaller consulting firm that gave me the ability to grow quickly and also have the ability to work from anywhere.
What would you do if you didn’t choose your career path?
To be honest, I am not 100% sure. Maybe open up a local coffee shop. I can tell you this though… I wouldn’t be sitting on the couch watching TV. That’s not me. I always have projects (business, tasks around the house, etc.) and goals I want to accomplish. I look at life as we only have so much time on this planet and we need to use every second that is given to us to the full potential.
What is the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Working with a few non-profit organizations. I really feel as I am making a difference and helping the cause.
How did you get into Salesforce?
My previous company was looking for a cloud based software to store their client data at and because I was the ‘Technology guru’ at the company, the President of the company asked me to find the correct solution and implement it. At that point, I became engulfed with Salesforce and everything it had to offer.
Who are you sitting closest to, and what is the best quality about that person?
My wife, Susan. At the moment I work out of my home and so does she 75% of the time. As for her best quality…that is a hard one as she truly has many, but if I had to pick one, I would say her cooking skills. Nothing like an amazing meal made from love!
If you could go back to your first day, what advice would you give yourself?
Never stop learning and don’t be afraid to fail. Failing is a part of learning and without it, we would not learn.
If you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with all that extra time?
LOL! This is a great question as everyone already says I don’t sleep, so I guess I’m doing this already.
What would you tell someone who’s thinking of applying for a job here?
If you are hungry, motivated, and looking for a place to grow…look no further!
